Clinical and Regulatory Competence for Community Pharmacists
The Clinical and Regulatory Competence for Community Pharmacists is a professional development workshop designed to strengthen the capacity of pharmacists to deliver safe, accountable, and patient-centred care within community pharmacy practice.
Community pharmacists play a critical role at the frontline of medicine use and healthcare access. However, the increasing complexity of patient needs, the growing burden of chronic diseases, medication-related risks, and heightened regulatory expectations require pharmacists to possess strong clinical judgement alongside a sound understanding of professional and regulatory requirements.Â
This programme provides practical learning in clinical governance, patient assessment, clinical decision-making, pharmaceutical care documentation, regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, and professional risk management. It is designed to help participants improve the quality
of their practice, enhance patient safety, reduce professional vulnerability, and build constructive relationships with regulatory authorities and other healthcare professionals.
Ultimately, the workshop reinforces the role of the community pharmacist as a trusted healthcare
provider committed to ethical, professional, and sustainable pharmacy practice.
