Preparing the Next Generation of Leaders in Medicines Regulation and Pharmacy Jurisprudence
The healthcare landscape is constantly evolving, creating an increasing demand for professionals with advanced knowledge of pharmacy law, medicines regulation, governance, and public health policy. To address this need, the Wilson Erhun Foundation for Pharmacy Administration (WEFPA), in collaboration with the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP), is pleased to announce the Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Pharmacy Jurisprudence and Medicines Regulation.
This pioneering programme is designed to equip pharmacists, regulatory professionals, healthcare administrators, and public health practitioners with the competencies required to navigate today’s complex regulatory environment while promoting ethical practice, patient safety, and effective medicines governance.
Delivered 100% online over a nine-month period, the programme combines expert-led lectures, webinars, seminars, case discussions, and an applied research project to provide participants with practical, industry-relevant knowledge. Learners will explore critical areas including pharmacy law and professional ethics, medicines regulation, pharmacovigilance, regulatory compliance, public health law, and pharmaceutical governance from a West African perspective.
At WEFPA, we believe that strengthening healthcare systems begins with investing in people. This programme reflects our commitment to developing visionary leaders who will shape the future of medicines regulation, influence health policy, and uphold the highest standards of professional practice across Nigeria and the West African region.
Applications are now open for the pioneer cohort commencing in October 2026. We invite qualified professionals who are passionate about advancing pharmacy practice and healthcare leadership to take advantage of this unique learning opportunity.
"Together, we are building the leaders who will strengthen medicines governance and safeguard public health for generations to come."
