The future of healthcare depends on a new generation of professionals who possess not only strong academic knowledge but also the creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills required to address complex healthcare challenges. As pharmacy practice continues to evolve in response to advances in science, technology, and public health, educational institutions and development organizations have an increasingly important role to play in preparing students for leadership beyond the classroom.

Recognising this need, the Wilson Erhun Foundation for Pharmacy Administration (WEFPA) proudly supported the successful implementation of PharmaSpark 2026, an innovative educational initiative designed to inspire excellence, strengthen professional competencies, and cultivate the next generation of pharmacy leaders through academic competition, innovation, and collaborative learning.

Implemented in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS), Obafemi Awolowo University, PharmaSpark commenced in 2025. The 2026 edition provided pharmacy students with a unique platform to demonstrate their knowledge, develop innovative solutions to real-world healthcare challenges, and build the leadership skills required to thrive in an increasingly dynamic pharmaceutical landscape.
