Fostering capacity building, policy engagement, and mentorship among pharmacists, researchers and allied health professionals.
WHO WE ARE
The Wilson Erhun Foundation for Pharmacy Administration (WEFPA) is a non-profit initiative dedicated to advancing the discipline of pharmacy administration through education, research, practice and leadership development across Africa. Conceived from decades of academic excellence and professional service, the Foundation seeks to institutionalise systems that promote ethical, effective, and innovative pharmaceutical practice in line with regional and global health goals and practices.
Pharmacy administration remains a pivotal but underdeveloped area in many African contexts. Challenges such as weak health systems, inadequate leadership training, limited research translation, and poor interprofessional collaboration have hindered optimal healthcare delivery. WEFPA was therefore established to bridge these gaps by fostering capacity building, policy engagement, and mentorship among pharmacists, researchers and allied health professionals.
WEFPA’s approach is inclusive and collaborative. Partnering with universities, professional bodies, government institutions, NGOs, and international development agencies. By building a culture of responsible pharmacy leadership and research-driven policy influence, the Foundation aims to contribute to improved health outcomes, ethical governance, and sustainable healthcare delivery systems across Africa.
